Redesign of our standard sealable container line

We our continuing to redesign our line of Solufresh sealable and skin containers (APET and RPET) and Solutherm (PP) containers, from our “Ready-to-pack” range.

The redesign has several objectives:

  • To reduce the weight of the packs whenever this is possible by offering a new cleaner design. “The last one dated back to 2007. Technology is constantly making progress and we are constantly looking for ways in which to improve the design of our thermoformed packaging including for our standard solutions. This optimisation can be seen in an excellent control of the design and manufacture of our thermoforming moulds, created in-house. Such accuracy means that we can make fine adjustments on the production line while maintaining the optimal mechanical properties of the end parts to protect and ensure the health and safety of the food products, which are essential features of primary packaging.

  • These revisited lines fully align with the 3 R decree published on 30 April 2021 and determined by the Agec (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy) law. We have been committed to this overarching approach for many years, which we continue to pursue.

Our goal is to advise and assist our customers in transitioning their packaging solutions and to encourage them to reduce their pack weight, optimise sizes and logistics, and shift to mono materials whenever possible. This is a daily task based on education with a holistic approach to the whole of the container and content value chain and our customers’ processes already in place.

The Solutherm line comes in clear PP or coloured PP. With an alternative to carbon black approved by the COTREP (Technical committee for the recycling of plastic packaging) we can provide dark colours that are detectable in sorting plants.  The Solufresh line is available in APET or RPET depending on our customers’ specifications.

These revisited lines and our new format will be shown at the CFIA in Rennes on 14, 15 and 16 March 2023.
See you in HALL 9 – STAND C32-D31
